Solved OMGWTF Trim Not Booting, u10 via outputs .5v

So I have an OMGWTF trimmed Wii that is not booting. When I hook my regs up to it they read 3.3v, 0.990v and 1.13v. To me 0.990v and 1.13v seem too low but im not sure. The u10 via outputs 0.5v. I had u10 relocated before trimming and it worked fine. I covered the cpu and gpu in masking tape so no dust should have gotten under them. I believe my issue is that u10 isn't getting 3.3v so its not displaying a signal. Could I be getting 0.5v from the u10 via because my 1v and 1.15v are too low? Any suggestions are appreciated.

The voltages seem fine, the u10 is likely the issue. You probably lost a connection during the trim. Check if:
1. U10 blob of 3 pins is continuous with gnd. If no, solder a wire from the blob to gnd.
2. If yes, check if the input pin reads 3.3v. If no, solder a wire from the input pin to 3.3v
3. If yes, must be your data wire (but based on your symptoms, unlikely).

So I made some progress. The glob of 3 pins is continuous with gnd, the input pin reads 3.28v and the via pin now reads 3.27v. Now it displays a black screen like its trying to display something. I wired up a reset switch and it wont boot into priiloader. My other voltages are now 3.28v, 0.971v and 1.113v.

Try directly connecting the reset pin to gnd (no switch)

That worked and booted into priiloader fine. Now I'm trying to wire up USB and it freezes when the PortablizeMii logo pops up on the screen. I've tried 2 different USB's one of them being a 128GB Samsung Fit drive. Do you think this would be a software issue or something with my USB wiring?

Sounds like it's still U10. You did run a wire from the U10's leg to the via, right? I don't see one in the picture. The Wii CAN boot without U10 being present, but pretty much everything stops working.

I did have a wire to the via. I also accidentally gave the 1.15v line 5v so im pretty sure that this board is dead now.

So I got another trim working but now my Gamecube controller doesn't work in PortablizeMii. The controller seems to work in Priiloader but thats about it. Is there some kind of file that I need to re-install to get it working?
Should I be creating a new thread if I have a different question or should I just keep it all in one thread?

Keep it all in one thread. As for your controller, you should check your sticks, iirc priiloader ignores them, but postloader doesn't, and it can cause it to act funny if they're doing weird things

Yep I wired up a different controller and it works fine now. Thanks!

This might be a stupid question but does the controller need to be wired up to player 1 for it to work in PortablizeMii?

Look at the guide, if you burn off the via pad then you can wire the data line to the resistor array just below it.
