Worklog Gman's Wii portable

I wish. I can using a tact switch on the bluetooth module to make sure that works first
Yeah you should test that.
I'm out of town for few days. I will test it myself when I get home

The last Wii started having problems. Couldn't figure out what was wrong with the video even after removing all the wires and sanding the board again. Trimmed another Wii and wired everything up, worked first try :) Even got the mem card in and working so looks pretty done to me.

Why did you wire up a memory card? You do know nintendont supports memory card emulation, right? Just enable "nmm" in wiiflow settings.

Wait seriously. I love the Wii so much. So does this mem card have any use lol, how about for Wii games?

Unless you want to use real memory cards to pick up where you left off in a game from console to your portable, there really isn't much use for it. Even still, you can copy memory card files from your wii to the SD card and vice versa via homebrew software, so you can accomplish the same result through software, albeit a little more work.

But yea, NMM (no more memory card) is one of the many advantages nintendont offers. You should go look into what other features it has. Its really amazing how far the software has come

That's awesome. Yeah I need to read up on my Wii software because I'm sure there are a bunch of cool features I'm not taking advantage of.

Tested Battery life. 3 hours 45 minutes @5600mah batteries. The first 2 hours I played an NES emulator which may have an effect on the amperage but I'm pretty happy with this considering a normal GCp usually lasts around 2 hours :) Will also probably reduce the current if I remove the useless memory card.

That's so awesome to hear. I'll definitely be making my next portable a Wii.

EDIT: also from what I understand, in anything other than GameCube software, the Wii doesn't even access the memory card at all so performance might not be increased.

The nintendont gbatemp thread says that "memory card emulation is not 100% stable and your memory card can be corrupted" but that could be old info and improved since. But since the saves are on the SD card they are easier to make backups of as well.

SWEET!! So when it that juicy video comin??? All functions working? or is it only gamecube games and some homebrew?
