That's a great deal if they are decent quality and aren't actually like half the amperage.Got mine on Amazon. 6 of them was ~$45

There really aren't any trade offs on the Wii. It's cheaper, uses less power, less heat, you dont need a modchip, and its not anymore difficult to trim than the GC. It's better in every way.I'm still not sure how I feel about the trade offs of the Wii but I'm super excited.
Whoever gets the Wii smallest, post a picture over at GBAtemp or something to try and catch the eye of someone who may be able to help on the software end of things.
We are currently looking into eliminating all daughter boards. Wifi is only like 6 data wires to rewire. Any wii that isn't white or a family edition Wii will have a CPU-40 or higher which is easily trimmable. Unlike Gamecube, you can know exactly what motherboard you are getting before buying it. not sure on the power difference, but I will measure it at some point, It is definitely less.My thoughts
1. Video quality options (no true HDMI options like the GC video and the 480p is worse on Wii than GC)
2. More things to keep on check like wifi and Bluetooth (I suppose this is evened out by the WKF and SD gecko)
3. More revisions ( I need to educate myself on this) is it possible to know what revisions you get/want without dismantling?
Not trying to disagree for for no reason here but these were just personal thoughts of mine. I agree for general purpose the Wii is better but the GC has the video quality going for it. What does the power draw difference look like btw?

Ooh baby, I'm hot just like an oven
