Oh I've no idea thenNo, the electrolytic cap that is normally by the wires at the top. It isn't pictured as I took it off :p

It's most likely there in case the controller has a sudden spike in current and the controller wire is extended. Being so close to the regulators, most likely it won't need it.No, the electrolytic cap that is normally by the wires at the top. It isn't pictured as I took it off :p the contacts for it are at the bottom left.
That can be a tough one, make sure you keep it as close to the original position as possible, otherwise it may pick up some interference from other places... It may also be possible to follow the traces back and wire from there.and hopfully the crystal on the screen board
Nothing wrong with hard powering it off. The Wii is pretty resilient. Also, whats the proper way to shut down the wii with portablizemii installed? When you use a wiimote to shut it down, it has a short shutdown sequence, so is it wrong to just shut the power off?
While the hardware is very resilient, the software... Not so muchThe Wii is pretty resilient.

Yup. Working with Wii software is the worst. One of the many, many reasons why PortablizeMii is fucking amazing. While the hardware is very resilient, the software... Not so much![]()
Yeah, thst could be it. If the c stick is not connected the controller sends random values for the c stick, which in postloader means changing continuisly between different browsers (games, homebrews, emus, channels) and so it gets stuckI didn't connect the c stick, is that an issue?
No, it means that it is waiting for something to move (either a wiimote or a GC controller stick) in order to show the cursorIf the bottom of the screen says "select a game with a controller" does that mean the gc controller isn't connected?
No, there's no reason, it was just because priiloader doesn't care about the sticks, so if they are causing issues you won't notice.I don't but is there any reason why it wouldnt work in postloader but would in priiloader? The wiimote works fine
On the gc controller after I trim it, I don't have to relocate or bridge anything right?
