If people really want, sure. I thought ads would be annoying to most people and given the way the majority voted, that's what they think too

I personally would toggle it on, i dont find them that intrusive, so i would be fine with them on.

I think if ads are to be implemented on the website they should be for all to see. Not just newbies or unregisterd users. Registerd users as well as other type of users get the info and what not that is hosted on this website here for free!

Vip status is not uncommon, it's up to you guys to see what is included in that vip package (maybe free contest entry, slightly less or no ads at all, and so on...). The people paying for that kind of service/status should get their money's worth.
