Solved Do the N64 Cartridge Slots only work for the specific N64 that they are originally attached to?

Just my luck, is an attempt to attach my cartridge slot into my portable case a couple of pins from the cartridge slot were broken off. Thus, resulting in the system not reading my game. Do all cartridge slots work the same for all consoles? Are they only specific to the original console? Or can I easily use another N64 Cartridge Slot for my same portable and everything will work the same?

My understanding is all the cartridge slots are exactly the same on the N64
