Question gc board connection explanation

i can not understand the abbreviation on the gc board, like DU DO DR DL,ETC... and where is the data line and it is very appreciated that someone can help me

DD- D Pad Down
DL- D Pad Left
DR- D Pad Right
D - Data (GameCube controller data line)
