When you put your name, and quantity, it's you basically signing a contract saying that you are buying the amount you've stated.

When the boards are ready for production, you pay the amount stated.

Most likely not. They are very difficult to assemble and most people would end up spending more on the required equipment to assemble one than it costs to purchase.

I mean, I have all of the skills/equipment needed to solder one together myself.... That said, I don't really have a need for one and I could probably just whip my own board up if I really needed to.

I'm looking for a fab that has a good rep and will be able to do the boards. I'll also be having two different versions made, one with screw holes one without, pics later today.
