Have you been portablizing Wiis for a while, and now you have a box of the video output connectors you saved “just in case”?
Well, the moment you've been waiting for has arrived, because I have need of some! Just let me know how many you have and how much you're charging.
I'm also interested in a few Wii component (not composite) video or S-Video cables, if the price is right.
Thanks!

Would you mind explaining what you're gonna use all of these Wii video connectors for? Not judging or anything, just curious.

Not at all!
Basically, I want to standardize my consoles, custom cased consoles, consolized portables, 8-bit computers, and any other projects that produce video, to all have one, universal video connector. Since the Wii one is fairly compact, simple (I can probably 3-D print something compatible if I have to), and contains pretty much all of the signals I'll need, I thought it would be a good fit. It's also easy to find pre-made cables for the various audio/video standards it supports. Plus, it looks a bit sleeker than a DE9 or DE15 ;)
I've even thought of adding them to displays, and making up some straight-through, M-M cables as a sort of ad-hoc “LDMI” standard :D

I just found Shank's Wii Super Thread, which has a nice video pinout. I didn't even realize the Wii doesn't have S-video Chroma, or that it has three unused pins on the video connector. I might use one of the bonus pins for Chroma, but I'm not sure what to use the others for. Perhaps I could do TTL RS-232 TX and RX, or USB D+ and D-. IR remote signals in/out? Maybe a pair of bidirectional S/PDIF lines :rothink:
Thoughts?
