Worklog The littleBIG Boy

Yes it is :)
It's called HD-glass. But it is not as strong as normal PLA, so I've combined it with carbon-PLA on the backside. Otherwise the portable would be too soft and too easy to bend/flex.

So... The front is nearly finished. Put the controls in and everything fits perfectly :).
I had to sand the front down quite a bit. But as a result it is now almost perfectly smooth and shiny ;) (second picture).
I am happy with it.

Thank you guys for your help and advice for the print.

Damn.. That is beautiful! So shiny, on the second pic it doesn't even look 3D printed :P

Ok guys, first thing when making a portable? Make a plan what you want it to have... If not, or if sloppy, you might forget some crucial parts in your finished case
I forgot the headphone jack... Luckily it was rather easy to drill a hole inside the bottom part... (The right one)

It turned out good, but I don't deserve it :eyeroll:

Nonetheless, I started soldering, but the headphone jack took me some time... So I made few progress.

The shoulder buttons turned out very nice. Not too clicky, not too squishy.
I printed the X, Y and start buttons in white, so they match the shoulder buttons. (No pic though)
Enough for today. I'm beat

I haven’t been following this thread like I should be. Love how well this is coming together! Your prints (minus the issues you ran into) look incredible, esp in that clear blue.

Loving the screen size on this thin boy!

Small update:

The screen does not light up, I'll have to investigate this issue tomorrow. I measured a voltage of 4.7v on the display board. Should be enough, what do you think?
Maybe the flat cable is just loose somewhere.
Sadly I can not work on it as much as I want atm :/

Have you tried connecting the Screen directly to the screen board?
and yeh connecting it to the wii to check? or something else?

Yeah, I used the screen before. And it worked.
And now I got it working again :)
It was the flat cable. Well, it is giving me a black screen though.

Edit: I think it might just be the input settings of the screen. I used it in AV mode last time. But I'm at work now :eyeroll:
