I want to make a Wii handheld and use an original GameCube controller. Is it possible to split it in half with a Dremel and rewire it? Or will I need to get a GC+ just to use it?
You can chop up a controller to use the sticks and button contacts, but you'll have to wire a GC+ to the chopped bits. Using the controller's IC instead of a GC+ is really fiddly and not recommended for beginners.I want to make a Wii handheld and use an original GameCube controller.
