So, I was at school in PE, I broke my arm so I was making a technical sketch of a portable Wii, when I came across the fact that the protection and via parts of the USB ports are outside the trim. How am I supposed to relocate it? If I'm missing an obvious via or connection point I'm sorry. Also, in the VGA mod I don't really understand what the Syncs are for.

Edit: Sorry I was looking at a B&W copy so USB is no longer applicable, but I still don't understand what the other wire of the VGA mod is for, one is to run power to the mode, but what is the other cord to connect.

Can you be more specific about the VGA wires?

Yes, I guess that was pretty vague. So first question, in this picture it shows that he says you need to solder two wires for the mod to work. I know the first one is to the mode via, but I don't know what the other one is.

Second question, what do H-sync and V-sync do and why does the VGA guide show so much emphasis on them?
Thanks in Advance

The 2 wires mentioned are the H-sync and V-sync wires that need to be connected to the AVE.

Here is some information on how the signal works and why H-Sync and V-sync are important: http://www.eecg.toronto.edu/~tm4/rgbout.html

Thanks that clears it all up! I've never worked with VGA before and didn't know that there were more wires than 3. Just to recap though, V and H-sync are other wires in a VGA/RGB cord that need to be connected to the AVE chip on the Wii right?
