Hello euro fellows.
You may notice that not all the games that you dumped in your portable works in vga mode, showing instead just a blue/black screen while the audio plays in the bg.
That's because vga input works only in progressive scan format, which is a option natively supported by ntsc region games while in Europe the high quality video mode was 60hz.
You can try to force progressive scan in pal games anyway but it actually works only in some titles.
I tested my collection and here is what I found

Games supporting progressive scan:
1080 Avalanche
Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg
Eternal Darkness
Luigi's Mansion
F-Zero GX
Gun
Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (lose signal after 10 or 15 min approximately)
Mario Party 5
Kirby air ride
Killer 7
Pikmin 2
Starfox Adventures
Super Monkey Ball
Super Smash Bros Melee
The Legend of Zelda: the Twilight Princess
The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker
The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition
The Lord of the Rings: the Return of the King
The Lord of the Rings: the Third Age
Timesplitters 2
Timesplitters: Future Perfect
Worms 3D

Games NOT supporting progressive scan:
Beach Spikers
Dark Summit
Lost Kingdoms
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime 2 Echoes
Pikmin
Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time
Prince of Persia: the Two Thrones
Resident Evil
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil: Zero
Super Mario Sunshine
Wario World
Waverace

If you tested other titles please feel free to add the to the list

My PAL Sunshine rip works with Progressive Scan forced on. You might have a scuffed Sunshine iso, unless the PAL version of Sunshine sold in Australia is different

That's strange, PAL should be PAL :rothink:
I dumped it with checksum enabled so they shouldn't be any corrupt regions in there. Besides the iso actually works fine because I can play it with composite input...
Maybe it's actually a different version for Australian consoles
