I did a lil somethin to add a 5 way tact switch to the g-boy to be able to have screen controls on demand!

i wired the 5 way tact to the control board like dis

Snip off the ends of the board as I did in the picture, Position the screen control board diagonally (only way I could make it fit) making sure to put the wires between the white plugs ( I used hot glue to secure it)

I drilled a hole the same size as the headphone jack right here

it’s glued in from the back and has support from the battery

then boom you cAn adjust menu options on the fly

Awesome mod!

I see you didnt remove the inductor on the screen? I would highly recommend removing it if you still have the gboy open. I had a screen that eventually was shorted without it removed, it is feeding current backwards into the 7.4v->5v onboard regulator.
