Discussion 512MB RAM UPGRADE

To future readers, or anyone curious. Couldn't find any info on this so I did it myself. Wii comes stock with 64mb or so of RAM. The developers Wii... NDEV edition had 128mb I believe. For running code I assume. Long story short, homebrew apps like WiiFlow run better. If anyone is wondering that ordering a 512mb chip, desoldering with an SMD rework station (don't use a generic heat gun) is worth it, the answer is yes.

Course. Learned a ton from you. Appreciate you taking time to share the things you have. No purpose apart from curiosity at first. Load times are improved and titles do not appear graphically distorted at times anymore in WiiFlow. RVLoader load times dramatically improved. When emulating games such as Smash on N64, the game never slows anymore when 4 players and many items are present.

There is no way homebrew run better. Wii homebrews do not check the total amount of external RAM installed, they just assume it's 64MB
