Question No video output

My trim does not output video. The CPU & GPU gradually heat up, and I haven't left it on for more than a minute. PM didn't appear after 15 seconds.

Before trimming, I successfully booted into PM after relocation U10 and removing the wifi module. Each line resistance was as follows:

I'm using a Wii2HDMI converter, but I was unable to get video out even with a AV2HDMI converter.
The line voltages sag slightly, but no anomalies. Here's a video of all the line voltages, the U10 output, and what my monitor outputs.


I exposed a trace connecting to the U10 via to see if the solder joint broke during trimming. Continuity was good.

Although sketchy, the BT signal wires have a solid connection too.

I've also tried to boot with MODE pulled high. Same result.

• Should I be using a composite screen to test this? I don't have one (hence all the converters).
• Is there anything blatantly wrong in my trim or BT relocation?
• What's the next thing I can troubleshoot?

Trim looks fine. The voltage rails are probably too low. If the voltage drop only occurs when connected to the Wii, it's probably the power supply you're using to power the regulators.

New PSU just came in! It's about time to move on from the ATX breakout. The problem continued after using the Korad PSU.

I'll replace the resistors on my power distribution board tonight to compensate for voltage sag.

Also I know you checked u10 for continuity but have you verified that the output voltage is 3.3 volts when powered on?

Yeah, it measured 3.3V. I included the reading in the video, but measured it in the middle of all the line voltage measurements. Makes it hard to catch. Haven't had a chance to get to the power distribution board yet.

Still can't get video out. The new resistances I'm using raise the rails close to, but not exceeding the required voltage. I moved up incrementally, to avoid damaging components. Changes are highlighted.

The CPU and GPU are still gradually heating and don't immediately become hot, which keeps me hopeful. Could incorrectly reconnecting BT be the cause?

Have you tried shorting reset to ground to boot to priiloader?

Reposting here hoping to get some traction.

Stayed a bit later after work today to examine the composite video signal.

I brought an unmoded, known good wii as a "gold" sample.

The scope wasn't configured well, but I think I got the info I needed.

I'm not familiar with NTSC, but it's evident that there's a front porch, back porch, & color burst. The difference is in the picture information. Since the signal is being initiated with a sync pulse, I want to say the AVE is doing it's job, but is not receiving valid data to output. I'm willing to probe around.

Could the GPU be dead? Thoughts?
