I have no clue if you read my last post but yeah I’ve finally trimmed the Wii!

This post was when I sanded with 150 grit on all sides, I have no clue if it works as I don’t have a PMS yet, so that will be in my next post in a week or 2 lol.

Also I do know that yes it’s curved but that’s mainly because I have small hands and didn’t have the best grip on the dremel, and also I’m not finished sanding yet and I’d like to remove most of the weird curves.

If someone would like to tell me if the trim should work and what their thoughts are on it, please tell me

Thank you for reading! Have a great day <3

Well,I'm not sure if it will works because you almost cut the 1.15v regulator on the bottom of the Wii
Also,be sure to clean your board,it seems uou got some rest of soldering flux

It should be fine? All of this blue section is the 1.15v area, all the regulator is doing is just connected to GND.

Yeah, I was talking to frost last night about this. I think the board is fine and the cap probably is too, but I did tell him that if the board doesn't work, replacing the cap could be a good starting point for troubleshooting. I also informed him of Nold's Wii trim resistances guide and advised him to follow it.

It doesn't look bad for a first trim, just a bit aggressive on that diagonal line. I did also advise him a bit on the NAND with traces and the cap near the NAND just so he's aware.

Looking forward to seeing more dude!

Good idea. It should be fine, at least from a visual inspection though. However, I have no clue how much space those *actually* take up as far as the thing itself, and not the casing. And he can't really check the voltages quite yet, I don't think he's sanded it all the way. I could be wrong though.

Yeah, he was so happy that he didn't cut the traces or trim off the cap lol.

I agree, can't wait to see your next progress report!
