Hey folks!

For another project that I have in the pipeline, I needed to model out an Atari 2600 cartridge in an accurate enough way for me to model a cartridge slot around it. I figured I'd share the model with the community in case anyone has a similar need!

I make no claims of compatibility with all game PCB types, or even if you'll be able to 3D print it well enough to work as an actual cartridge shell (I haven't tried it yet, still debating if I will) - I did confirm the outer cartridge dimensions are correct, and the PCB is located correctly for properly actuating with the appropriate edge connector, so should be good enough to model around. Let me know if you find any glaring issues with this and I'll do my best to correct them ASAP!

Included in the uploaded archive is all parts made in STEP and F3D/F3Z format. In F3Z format, I also included a complete cartridge assembly with all the parts in their proper place. The only things I did not model here is the rotating dust protector door, and the spring used for the card edge protector slider.

Credits to ivop on GitHub for the Atari 2600 cartridge PCB I used for this model. Unfortunately I did have to modify it, as it seems like it was made for a cartridge with different internals than the one I modeled out here. I based the modifications on one of the PCBs I have on hand though, and double checked various dimensions to ensure accuracy regardless.

All the 3D models I created & provided in this archive is to be considered public domain. No credit/permission is required for it's use and redistribution is freely permitted.

I hope this is useful to someone here! Cya around!

Hey!
I just registered to say that you did an excellent job designing this cartridge model in Fusion! I really appreciate that you shared it. I’m planning to use it as a base for a multi-cartridge PCB. (Need to mod it, since the PCB is 'double-face', one side for the 2600, one for the 7800)
