Wow, is this seriously my first cutting edge post?!?
Hey everyone!
A little less than a month ago, I was commissioned by a friend of mine to build a clear PS2 Ultra Slim with some changes. Today I'm here to show off the finished results!
This has been an absolute labor of love. The PS2 was one of the first consoles I've ever laid my hands on when I was a child, and I have so many fond memories of the system. It was a blast going back and checking out some of the titles this system has to offer during my playtesting! The clear resin case is also extremely snazzy!
Here are some pictures of it standing vertical, in a similarly snazzy looking black resin stand.
I did make some slight tweaks to the design, both as personal preference and by request of the person commissioning this build. I modified the SD slot to utilize an existing low cost microSD module, instead of a cut up uSD to SD adapter, and I also removed the PS2 logo off the stand, to give it a sleek look. The SD slot is a huge improvement in my opinion, it should prove to be much more reliable and should stand the test of time.
All in all, I'm extremely happy with how it turned out, and I'm so excited for this to get into the hands of the guy I made it for I hope he loves it as much as I do!
Till next time!
