The above article was supposedly featured in an April Fools Day 2000 article in the Official Playstation Magazine. It's so dumb and cursed and funny at the same time that it has lived rent free in my head ever since I first saw it 10 or so years ago. So I'm finally going to build it.
It looks like the head from the photo was actually photoshopped from this ps1 memory card (see below). I have a few ideas on how to make this, but I think the simplest way is probably going to be 3d scanning the memory card for a starting point, and then editing it from there.
Another option would be to take a mold of the card and then increase the size of the mold, but then I wont be able to make lasting edits to the piece. I'll keep this idea in mind but I'm going to start with scanning.
