Wii motherboard timeline clarification

Well... After ALMOST finishing my G boy (Got the screen working after trimming), my first motherboard suffered the fate of a giant solder blob on the processor that even with a few hours at a reflow station.... was toast. So, new wii's in hand, ready to go again. I have a question on wii generation identification though. Is the code # 01 the oldest with the K02 the newest? I have my hands on a K01 wii and think its a great 4 layer board candidate, am I right or wrong in my assumption?

You are correct. Any of the ones listed as 4 layers are good to use.
