Question WASP Fusion + MegaDrive v3 failure

Hello, I am trying to use a WASP Fusion on a GameCube but I seem to be failing in some way and all of the guides on this modchip have been lost to time.

I am trying to understand the start sequence for the WiiKey/WASP and what would cause it to fail. It is my understanding that a Blue LED should light up when you start the system. But on my WASP I only see a very very faint Orange led for ~100ms. Am I missing something? Does it need to boot with an SD Card inserted? Does the SD Card need to be WBFS formatted?

I will try again on a Wii and see if it's possible that the modchip is broken.

Can you provide a photo of the current state of the install? Is the WASP set to the correct region for the console it is installed in? The DIP switches in the bottom left should be set according to the below chart.

You can use WBFS format if you want, but you can also just use FAT32 if it causes problems.

Oh, also you need to jumper the LID and P29 pads on the MegaDrive V3 and install it in the orientation shown in the ancient advertisement video.
