It plugs into the Wii drive. Is it for the Wiimote?

It's a sensor to see if the disk is being inserted so it can basically take it in and lock it with the locking mechanism. Basically there's two parts of the sensor a bottom and a top and once a disk is put in the drive it breaks the connection between them and pulls the disk in
