Solved Shameless question thread?

I want to learn more here, but I'm honestly afraid of backlash. Are you guys cool with me asking beginner questions here or is there some better way to find the path of least resistance. I'm a big fan of tried and tested techniques and resources so negating the guess work Google sometimes incites is a plus.

The best thing to do would be to start a worklog. That way you can ask the questions you need to as things progress on your project.

Ask away, we appreciate questions, just don't make your questions seem like statements of fact. Also, make sure to ask someone if you're not sure about something, ask, we don't want misinformation being spread (the backlash was mainly about constant misinformation being stated as fact). Finally, if someone either PMs or comments about a post being incorrect, please edit the post making a note that it is incorrect (or ask a question to see why).
