So, I've tried twice now to install FujiFlex onto a trimmed Wii. Both trims were confirmed working & booting successfully before installation, and both were seemingly fried afterwards. On the first attempt, the 1v15 voltage line on the Wii had been shorted (0 Ohms of resistance according to my Multimeter) to GND. This short persisted after disconnecting the PMS2 and removing the FujiFlex. Similar story with Wii no. 2, except this time, it's 1v8 that's shorted to GND. This time, I tried removing some components that I found along the trace (I also lifted the two larger capacitors, C5 and C180, that connect to 1v8), thinking maybe they could be causing the fault, but to no avail. I even removed the AVE just to see if it would change anything, but the short still persists.
I did not capture any photos of the first Wii or any photos of the FujiFlex installation, but I got some photos of what the Wii looks like currently. I expect that it's probably just cooked, but you never know. Still, if anyone has any idea why this might be happening, please let me know!
