Discussion Wii Family Edition Gamecube ports.

I have a C/RVK- CPU-01. I cleared out the mounting pads of port #1 and mounted an old GB port from a previous console.
I ended up running power and data lines directly to the contacts, since these were not present on this model board.
I gave it 5v, but there is no rumble in-game or in the RVLoader test screen. Did I miss something?
