Worklog SparkleBear's First Portable Nintendo 64 Build Project Worklog.

Ahhh the memories… this project has not made any progress as I’ve been focusing on audio electronics and mic building… but rereading this log brings back all the good vibes. Great community we have here. Sorry I have not been as active as I once was. @cy has started a n64 project and asked me questions about my controller board… Cyframe, I think If you look here you’ll find all the info you need.

I think I might return to this one day and case this puppy up with some of @Nicholas298 ‘s amazing case work. I won’t have the time to learn all that otherwise.

been touring with a band and engineering records non stop these days…

Sounds good! I'll keep you posted on other opportunities as well, but looking forward to seeing further hardware work on the portable N64 in the future! Your black full size console here is holding together really well!

could you pass me the hex code of the PMS1, please and thank you.

The original RVL-PMS is an open source project, and the Github repo features a pre-compiled firmware release here.

A quick status update. I've placed the DEV-N64 (The one with 12mb) on a special shelf for repair when I can find a specialist to repair it. In the meantime, I intend to use the Mushroom-Painted N64 for my testing. If it's overclocked, that's the most common mod people use for their consoles, so it would be more than enough. What's the news on delivering both my X7 Cartridge an the Mushroom N64 so I can get started testing Yoshi's Island on real hardware with an overclock mod?
