Question PS2 Slim Valhalla edition - Burning Hot!

these are pictures of my awesome PS2 slim 79001 model. the console had a modbo 4 modchip, that i ended up removing.

An IC just burned completely. No red light, no power. completely dead.
then I removed the IC, and still no red light nor power, notice some legs on the IC were just blown out, gone
Fuses seem to be OK on the back.

sadly i might give it the viking funeral, or can it still survive?

Hi, it should be salvageable. Are you sure you checked all the fuses marked PS and TH?
Also, check the voltage between the input and output of the 7805s.

Yo will not belive this!

after spending some hours with it, i found out that what was broken was the small PCB where the power button is. That is because i found another console today and i changed that small PCB and the console started to work and give me the menu.

sadly started to have another problem, when i put the top shell back on with the screws, and when powering on , the console gave green light, and automatically the red light just after that

I was not sure what was going on, spent an hour trying to figure out what was wrong with it, and i found out that the lever on the power button PCB was causing that!
probably because I REMOVED THE BURNED CHIP.

so i just did a cut on that lever, won´t get pushed down anymore. Now the console works!, played games with OPL for some hours and i am happy.
Probably i will do a second PS2 super slim mod with it.

but yea took me hours, i thought it could not be repaired, but ended up having a surprise
