Ok can you upload clear photos of your driver board plus top side of ps2 motherboard.

I can give photos after work, of course:)

I'm not using the power bank yet, for testing I have a micro USB port soldered directly to the regulator board just for an easy stable 5v connection

In any case, i did also order another 79001 PS2 that I know will work to further analyze and test with, as well as (correctly!) finish this portable.

What’s the amount of amps that micro usb is outputting, I know you said it was working before the analog situation but you said the av chip warms up all you’re voltages are good fuses are good, just kinda curious perhaps the issue is somewhere else.

I went through some steps , as I could not verify the amps properly (shitty multimeter. I'm walking proof of buy nice or buy twice!)
I replaced the PS2 motherboard, bleh no good. I assembled a new regulator board, blehhh no dice! I have a spare ashida screen, and I've replaced everything else already...so I wired it up to the spare regs by itself (for easy 3.5v) and....god damn, it's Alive. I'm just curious though-- how could a short on the 3.5v line break a 5v appliance? I know I'm not very knowledgeable in this line of work, so I can't say much...but in my head it makes no sense. o.O
