Hey all! I've been following the trimming guide, as well as a few others between the forums and the world wide web, but this one's got me stumped. I wired up my FMCB memory card to my trimmed board (790001, if it matters) and when 3.5v is applied, the chip on the memory card gets excruciatingly hot (like, burnt my finger hot!) And the PS2/ display no longer power on until 3.5v is removed from the mem card.

I've checked for continuity/shorts between any of my connections, and I've tried soldering to both mem card slots to no avail. I've photographed my wiring between both to hopefully make discerning my wiring easier. Any advice would be so greatly appreciated:)

DAT - blue
CMD - yellow
3.5v - red
GND - black
ATT - green
CLK - Red Magnet
ACK - Green Magnet

Can you provide a clearer image of the memory card, preferably from the top?
It looks to me like you have 3v5 connected to the fifth pad, which is the Ground plane (pin 4).

Hey! I'm at work right now so I can't give any photos but I can tell you based off this photo...Hooooly shit! I had VDD and GND swapped‍
I put 3.5v on pin 4 and GND on pin 5. Thank you so much for calling that out:)
