Heloooo I have seen many videos on how to make a wii portable and I have decided to make my very own

I saw shanks pii wii pocket and I wanted to make something similar so I took apart an old wii and trimmed the motherboard, with side cutters....
then I failed to unsolder the d10 chip and d9 chip so i cut it off and im currently waiting for copper wire to come it should be here tommorow chapter 2 coming soon!

Be sure to upload plenty of pictures! Always good to have as many as you can for a good worklog. Also, side cutters??? That sounds like one heck of an experience. Regarding desoldering U10 / U9, have you tried following this video guide?

Looking forward to seeing chapter 2!

I admire the enthusiasm, but the PiiWii pocket is one of the most difficult builds ever done. Pretty sure only the KillMii beats it for top spot, with the original WiiBoy trailing close behind. Considering the massive amount of time, effort, skill, and luck it took to get the original PiiWii working, I really recommend that you cut your teeth building an Ashida or G-Wii first. Going for the PiiWii as your intro build is like challenging Usain Bolt to a footrace

What Im making isnt going to be to scale at all its 100% gonna be bigger and with alot less features.

yea ok i kinda screwed up the board and yea i screwed up the board im probally gonna take a break and save up some money cause i dont have alot to spend on this project and i like the ashida more so im gonna build that instead

  • You can edit your posts to include new material instead of making multiple posts, I'd recommend you do that (as per the forum rules).
  • What board are you talking about? What happened to it? If you send some pics, maybe we can try to help you through the process and give you some advice for the next time around.
  • The Ashida is a great portable, and very beginner friendly; I would highly recommend it as a first portable.
