Yes, exact same problem.
Happend to me 2 or 3 times. Never fully understood what went wrong.
Solution: - Start over

Out of many.
They happend when I reworked the board too much.

As in playing around with the board. Soldering, desoldering a hunderd times over.

If it is not obvious by now, I will not be continuing this portable. The work to get it up and running again is simply not worth the end result. I have decided to turn this project into a Wii portable with the same design but with an additional two batteries. Here is the new worklog.
