Worklog Joe Cool Ashida summer 2026

First you have to delicatly scratch the via to expose the copper, and then you can add your wire with a little bit of solder at the end and finally use some solder flux(this one helps a lot )

Now I have finished putting the Ashida together but It doesn't seem to boot. I have noticed a wire that came undone so I need to fix that. I am going to check all the rest of the wiring that goes to the Wii especially the shielded wire from the PMS PD 3. I am fairly confident in the voltage lines but not as confident I did the signal wiring correctly. Is the light and fan supposed to come on when you turn on the Ashida? What are some other common reasons the Wii will not boot?

I just redid some things and now it boots to the error screen. I accidentally switched the u10 wire and the headphone sense wire.

Thanks for verifying that. I am still getting the error screen and I checked my wires and they are as short as I can make them. I will try replacing them. Any suggestions on anything else I can try.

I recently had a problem with my Ashida where some of the RVloader files were corrupted, but if you haven't gotten a single boot since the trim I doubt that's it.

The USB connection looks decent and going shorter is always a good call.
Did you make sure to connect everything correctly to the PD board? (Maybe you accidentally swapped the two USB lines)

I am not getting the fan to work (I can't really see the light so idk if it works) so I am hoping that is because I can't get the Wii to go into Rvloader. I will check my PMS PD wiring and my shielded wiring for the D+ and D- wires. I also checked the Rvloader files on the SD card just in case they were corrupted they look fine.

As far as I know the fam should be spinning, even when not getting a successful boot.
You can send multiple pictures of all the wiring so we can have a look at it

I am going I recheck the other wires then. Here is my wiring let me know if their is any thing else you need to see. I am sorry the pictures are so blurry my phone camera isn't great.

I am an idiot and soldered the fans negative wire to the positive pad and vice versa. I don't know but by so black magic I changed the Sd Card I had in the portable and now it boots to rvloader. I can't tell if it all is working but thanks for the help up to this point.

I have closed the Ashida up and tested it but there are some issues I am having. The Wii Isn't recognizing the PMS PD 3 or the PMS 2 but it was detecting the GC+2.0. I thought that would be with with scw and sdw wires but they appear to be fine. Another issue I am having is that the fan will spin up when to portable is very first turned on but stops working after just a a second or two and makes an annoying clicking noise. The final problem I am having is The left trigger isn't working. I suspect that is from thee ribbon connector And I am going to try to solder it on better. If anyone knows what could be causing some of these things If they could respond that would be great. My soldering job is posted a couple of messages above.

You should probably add a bit more solder to the GC+2
The problem with the fan could be that the one from the BOM needs a loot a current to start spinning, people reported that it only spins fully or not really at all. You can calibrate in the in RVL settings

I have had the fan spin up since then, so I am not as worried about that. Rvloader still isn't detecting the PMS 2 and the PMS PD 3 I am guessing it is something to do with my soldering to the Wii. What should I check to have RVloader Detect the PMS PD 3 and the PMS 2?
