Question Is there a way to convert signals coming from a classic controller to a GameCube controller?

I have looked online but I can only find the raphnet adapter, but it would be too big for a portable. Is there a way of wiring the classic controller to a GC port?

You could use a GC+ and do something similar to what @cheese did here:
