Whataver happened to his site/forum/himself? I couldn't find anything online, it's almost all down apart from some lucky manual pdf finds and the YouTube channel, which is not updated for some time.

I'm kinda new to the moding scene, so I need to have that gap in my life filled.

He got pretty jaded with the state of things, i.e. the modding scene, the fact that certain techniques were moving beyond his expertise (see Wii trimming), so he shut down his site and with it the plethora of modding information stored on it. AFAIK he didn’t care to be part of another modding community but chose to do now-and-then updates on his youtube. So if there hasn’t been anything new there then I guess he hasn’t been doing much.

Would any of the useful pages be on the WayBackMachine or Internet Archive?

Well, I don't mean to judge so I won't, if he wanted to stop because things got a bit over technical, it was his call right.
But from what I see, it seems there really was a lot of info on his site and forums, which would also be beneficial. (Not that BitBuilt is not, information is never too much right?), such a pity to see that go.

I could find this tough:

https://moddedbybacteria.wordpress.com/

From what I hear the forums were also filled with ideas.

Oh, also found this just now. Why only now I have no clue.

On there, there is a link to the files from his site.

His techniques and guides were very "old style", there is not much relevant information you will learn from the site.

That's the one.

Very true, just about everything can be done better now, though some of the pinout info may be useful. I'm from back in the day when the Ben Heck forums were new and when modretro was started so I have a small soft spot for the old ways, but the new stuff now is pretty amazing.

Yeah, I've got a full archive of the site, but this was his reasoning. In my personal opinion though, he had no right to close the site before giving those who added to his site and references a chance to collect their content. Still irritates me as I put in a lot of work to that site myself and thought we had a pretty good thing going. But it was his way or the highway and with it being his site, he could do (or not do) what he saw fit.

I can't believe it's going on 5 years now that it closed.
