Hi guys! I know i have abandoned projects before but this is going to be my real first portable! Will be posting detailed info as I go.

The Goal:
- Make a portable Atari 7800 that retains all features of the console so I can bring it with me to university to develop homebrew games with (and play a mean game of Food Fight!)
- Be the second person to make a portable 7800 (Ben Heck beat me to it!) BUT be the first to open source a design!

The Plan:
Wii U gamepad-esque housing to fit bulky motherboard
Plays original carts (I mean, how would you even  add internal storage to an Atari?)
AV Out (Which will require no extra work as my GameDrive flashcart has an AV output built into the cart!)
Built in controls with PAL 7800-style D-pad and thumbstick attachment
Controller ports for both player 1 and 2 so I can use paddles and hook it to a TV easier
4:3 screen is a must!
USB-C charging
Power indicator lights
Retain all buttons and switches on console (difficulty switch, select, reset, etc)
Keep the general Atari 7800 theming (not required)

The Parts:
Atari 7800 motherboard + ports, components, etc (duh!)
5 inch 4:3 screen (model ZJ050NA-08C)
AV mod kit from Aliexpress (to replace the bulky RF modulator)
U-AMP + headphone jack (going to sleep to the soothing sounds of Pole Position 2600)
Speaker SP-1511S-3 (same as the Ashida), volume wheel
USB-C charger board, 5v power boost converter
Samsung 21700 battery + clips
Probably way too much filament
Random other stuff that I do not have quite yet (D-Pad, buttons which i may harvest from an NES controller)

Do not treat above as a comprehensive BOM yet, these are subject to change.

Suggestions and advice welcome, I am a complete newbie to this stuff.
