Anybody see the NX leak yet?

Yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to it. I think it could be pretty successful.

But...

the NX isn't expected to be backward compatible with existing platforms

I interpreted that as,

"you won't be able to use discs or port your old games"

However, releases on virtual console/hd remakes seem to be nintendo's specialty these days. Plus I wonder about hackability and emulation.

Right that's probably true, just sad that wii u / wii games won't be playable. I do like a lot of the first party wii u games. If they port Mario Maker, I guess I'll live...

Iirc there was a rumor that Nintendo was planning to use a Nvidia gpu for the 3DS back in 2010, then they used a dmp pica, so I don't trust much this rumor

That's true. I'm very curious how this will develop in the coming months considering the planned March 2017 release.
