Worklog [2023 Contest Entry] My first wii portable: Project Codename Ginger

Update 1:
I started making a case in fusion 360, and I looks pretty sick. For buttons I decided on some panasonic ones the nold had recommended (https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/panasonic-electronic-components/EVP-BFAC1A000/6125108)
For joysticks I plan on useing some generic ps2 ones form spark fun. I also am going to use the 5"" screen from 4layer along with the RVL_PMS_LITE, though they havent sent me footprints yet. I started designing the pcb but rn I'm mostly focased on the case.

also if anybody has CAD files for the driver board that would be greatly usefull

if you are using the display from 4layer they also have a driver board that is compatible with the screen why not use that ?

Also, your start date might be too early. The project has to have started after or during May. Your's is from the beginning of April which is kind of around the time I started my project and I was told it was too early.

Idk though becuase I just realized your update 1 was later. Since that was a couple days before may it might be okay.

This has been the first update in a while! iv'e been learning a lot about some of the most comfortable grips and stuff. The xbox controller is a great example of this, I decided to go with a hybrid steamdeck / rog ally grip for ease of designability. My parts list has updated a bit too, I joke a lot of the discord server to just use mechanical switches as buttons, but now Im taking that literally, I designed a switch mount bracket for switches to go into. and routing will me 10x easyer due to me now using a pcb!
