Solved Wii not reconizing usb

I am working on a wii portable, and have tried to wire the usb data lines. But the wii just says that there is no usb connected

1. Make sure you tightly twist the D+ and D- data lines.
2. Double check you have them connected correctly with diagram based on forums.
3. Check with multimeter on continuity mode and test for shorts/bridging.
4. Might need to reflow or add flux to those joints because they look cold.

In addition to what was advised above, the d+/- need to be a twisted pair. Looking at your one pic of the magnet wires that one wire doesn't even look like you tinned the enamel off the magnet wire so it probably isn't soldered on properly at that point.
