I assume you're referring to the EEPROM chip in a Wiimote? I have no idea how achievable that is, but I suppose it might be possible.The 2.5 HDD Was apparently not rugged enough and had too much storage. The new drive is a 5.25 in HDD that is more rugged.
I think the floppy drive can emulate an eeprom. Still working on a schematic.
