I found this pinout and if this is the case it may be hard to allocate them next to each other like that?
maybe I should mark one side so I know which way needs to be up and which down

Wow that looks stupid as shit, why not just have pins on only one side of the connector and have them on both sides of the jack??? lmao whatever apple

Ya I know its going to be a pain in the ass that's for sure but maybe I could do the straight lines for the power lines and the rest could be ground? Thoughts on that?
