While trying to find 18650 Lithium cells for the Gboy kit I found quite a few different ones but eventually ordered some 3.7V 9900mAh cells. As far as I know these should work perfectly, but I figured I should double check with you guys just to be safe.

Wait I'm a moron lol, just looked at the reviews and it's not looking good. I'll be returning these as soon as I get them. But in that case what 18650 cells do you recommend?

Definitely go for this: NCR18650B 3.7V 3400mah

That battery is from Panasonic, and It's legit, most people here used it in their projects including me.

yup . that one is a solid one, but try to check if is not fake.

but if you can't find that one , here are some tips (i'm not a pro on this, i just used those tips to pucharse a battery, please double check the information with someone who have more knowledge on the area)

1) check out the guide https://bitbuilt.net/forums/index.php?threads/portables-and-batteries-a-guide-and-explanation.2228/

2) by now some batteries can achieve a capacity of 3500 mah so.. try to avoid something like 6000 mah , 9999 mah or so

3) Avoid aliexpress for batteries (most of the time they will not be able to ship them)
