To enjoy the full potential of a portable gamecube, I think the memory card slot is mandatory as you can switch between the handheld and console with ease.
Then I changed the bluetooth sync button with a pushbutton wired to the 3,3v vga mode pad to enable or disable that function, since not every PAL game works with progressive scan. That being said I had to find a convenient way to change between VGA and AV channels of the screend drive board, so I added to the shell 4 buttons for source, menu, + and - to navigate all the screen options included 16:9/4:3 ratio.
Last but not least, a gorgeous blue and violet colorshift paint and satin varnish.

Thanks to all the community to keep the OG console alive and make our child dreams possible <3

Features:
Colorshift paint
MX chip
Bluetooth
Memory Card slot
Switch to enable/disable VGA mode
VGA and component output
4 buttons to navigate screen driver menu
Reset button

This is so incredibly cool! Congrats!
How did you add the mem card slot, did you make space after 3D printing it or was it a custom shell design?
As for PAL games, what happens if mode is on with progressive scan on a game that doesn’t support it? Do you get a black screen?

Thanks! For the memory card slot I opened a hole with dremel in the bulge underneath the back, and the PAL just show a black screen while audio working fine. I recently made a thread with a list of every game I tested, if you are interested and want to contribute you are more than welcome!
