launching the apps is fine, it's whether the app supports loading/reading the files from usb, i've already ran into ones that require the wii sd card slot
if there is anything else on there that is similar and could use this sort of app then let me know, i mainly do apps for the dreamcast scene so i'm pretty new to the portable scene and haven't messed with a wii in many many years
i've ordered a wiimote and nunchuk, hopefully when i press the sync button on both it works :D
as for your guide, currently i only have usb wired up and not the wii's sd card slot so i may have to look at adding that back on as some of the apps don't let you do it from usb
I've updated the app to allow you to browse to a directory instead of requiring it be on the root of the drive, It will also check that the directory you selected contains the 'wbfs' folder and if it doesn't it will let you know and exit.
It will also remember the last directory you selected was.
thank you, it works very well, i may update it though to allow you to select your sd card location rather than needing the app on the root of the sd card but either way it's no big deal :)
Hey guys, I have made a very simple app for my portable Wii and figured I'd post it in case anyone else wanted to use it.
basically what it does is take a pre-configured config file which is in the default_conf folder and grab a list of all the games on your usb or sd card and read the game...
thanks for the reply, i thought that might be the situation but i was afraid of bricking the system, i did a nand backup and although i wasn't sure how i'd restore it i decided to give the app a try and remove the korean key and now i see this, is that a good sign?
from that screen will i be...
Hey all
I'm having a bit of an issue with my wii portable, It's fully working but had no bluetooth module in it so i couldn't sync a controller to it or get to the main wii menu.
I bought a wii bluetooth module off ebay and following the wiring guide i've wired it up correctly and triple checked...
