Hi Jackson, as others have mentioned very impressive work with your portable. I was just wondering in your work-log for the Wiisp2, you used a copper sheet 70 mm x 35 mm. What sort of thickness was the copper? I've found a sheet with a thickness of about 0.9mm would that be suitable?

Ought to make a thread, you're more likely to get a response

I use the same heatsink setup. The thickness I use is 0.025in (0.635mm). I ordered the sheets from OnlineMetals

Hello Jackson ! I'm impressionned by your Wii SP 2.0 and I wanted to know if you would release the 3D Model and PCB custom for public use because me and my teacher want to promote our 3D Print/Programming/Retrogaming club with it ^^

Hi, I'm afraid I can't really offer the PCB designs for use. It's not that I don't want to, but the PCBs are poorly documented and I no longer have the information needed to assemble them. They have issues as well and would need to be revised. The 3D models are fairly useless without those PCBs.

Ginger -> You are right and I want to learn more about electric/electronic parts(PCB, scavenging your console and making it portable), you have a guide for that ?

Thank you for your response Jackson ! But yeah I guess it would be hard without the documentation ^^

Hello, I'm trying to get an audio amp that can be used for speakers and headphones. I haven't found anything like that online so could you tell me how you made your audio amps? It also doesn't need to be as small as the one you used to sell if that makes anything easier.

You can buy the board here and follow the BOM to put all the components on it: https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/Wy4lnqzu

You'll have to buy a PICkit 3 to program the microcontroller too.
I realize the components aren't labelled on the board, so I'll make a diagram for that if you're interested in making an amp.

Thanks a lot for this! I'll consider doing this unless I find something simpler/cheaper.

Hey man, I saw your thread about the amplifier board. I've been looking for a board that works that way, but I've come up short. How would I go about building one of your boards for myself?

      Hey JacksonS,
I saw your post about the Wii SP, most impressive system I've seen. The touchscreen capabilities has me curious and I wanted to find out more about the "touch Mii" board , screen, and the emulation software used for making that all compatible. I too want to build a wii portable with that functionality

Don't know yet. It's not my only focus right now, so it may be months before I have something. The most important part of the code, the interrupt sequence that actually sends data, is found on one of the last few pages of my worklog. It's written in XC8 for the PIC16F1829 and you can compile it with the MPLAB X IDE.

IIRC, @Aurelio had something in the works for pointer emulation sans-wiimote. He's likewise pretty swamped ATM though.

      Hey JacksonS,
I really like your portables. I want to built my own (again...) and wanted to ask you if you could tell me how you wired the Wii2HDMI converter to the Wii. Does yours run from 5v?
Greetings and keep up the good work :)

All the HDMI adapters I've bought use 5V. You will need to wire up GND, 5V, Y, Pb, and Pr to make it work. According to this pinout(http://gamesx.com/wiki/doku.php?id=av:wii_multi_av_pinout), the pins you need are 4, 5, 7, 9, and 11. You also need to bridge pins 10 and 8 (10 is just 3.3V) to enable progressive scan mode.

I left the entire AP tests blank. But that's because I didn't take an
AP classes in school since I didn't apply myself. Much Regret

I like to mod and experiment with various Nintendo consoles, primarily the ones I've grown up with. I've made four GameCube portables and two Wii portables. I'm now interested in programming and its applications in gaming hardware.
