Worklog MasterNate's First Wii Portable

What protection circuit would you guys recommend for 4 18650s wired in series for 14.8v? The battery holder with integrated protection circuit won't work for this project.

I'd personally just get one off of ebay, since most people won't be using 14.8v in their portable, there will be very little experience with 14.8v protection circuits

Here is my protection circuit for my batteries. I tried looking online for a tutorial telling me how to use it and what the b's and p's stand for. But i could not find one. So can somebody tell me what the b's and p's stand for on this board?

The pairs on the top are negative. The singles on the bottom are positive.

The wires are your system power and ground.

Yes there is...

There are 4 positives and 8 negatives.

So I think so.

How would i modify this charge and play diagram to work with my 14.8v system? And why are there two charging ports on the diagram?

You don't need to modify it. Just put your battery pack in where their batteries are. The batteries are just there to show that you should have them hooked up to a PCB.

There is one port for charging, and another for playing. You need to use both at the same time.

EDIT: Changed this information because I was an idiot several months ago...

I am talking about the different voltages on the chart. And which is for charging and which is for charging and playing?

The one labeled "charging" is for charging. The yellow one I'd fit playing. Which voltage are you talking about? The voltage from the batteries?

EDIT: Heyo I was still an idiot

You're going to need a 14.8v PCM, a 14.8v charger, and a power supply that outputs around 14.8v. Those are the only things that vary by voltage in the diagram, but you'll still wire everything up in the same manner.

My question is this, why in the diagram are the two charging points different voltages? So, do i need two charging ports?

The one that says 8.4v is the charging port, and it says 8.4v because a 7.4v pack has a maximum capacity of 8.4v, so that is what it will charge to. The one that says 7.5v is just a power supply that powers the system while the batteries charge with the charging port (both have to be plugged in to actually "charge and play"). It is 7.5v and not 7.4v because the psone power supply is 7.5v (it doesn't have to be exact).

Ok. So i just follow the wiring to the ports and all should be good? And also on the 6 point switch, does one wire touch two points or was it just drawn wrong?
