Yet Another RTD2660 Quest

There are sockets for SOP8. I have a motherboard where the BIOS is socketed in a little trapdoor socket. I find them on Aliexpress too by searching for SOP8 socket.
 
If you get a socket for it, make sure you get the "narrow body" variant if you have the choice! The SOP8 SPI flash on all of these boards that ive had have been narrow. They still will fit into a "wider body" SOP8 socket, but they may be finicky
 
Changing to a DIP socket and DIP8 IC is another option that won't need any adapter to connect to the TL866 programmer.

I finished a handheld project today and one annoying thing about the LCD (PCB800099 driver board) is the "no signal" and "HDMI" messages that come up every time it starts.
