Question Wii motherboard

Hi guys do I need a wii with gamecube ports to turn into a portable or can I use the later gamecube-less model.

The Gamecube ports don't typically matter unless you are including that in your portable but I would personally use a Gamecube-less model because they have guaranteed 4layer motherboards.
