Question what do i need to buy to get started

hi I'm new to making portables I'm typing this during class i just want to know what to buy to get started I'm trying to build a louii made by GingerOfOz
I have the files he used to print the parts and i know where i can print them i have 2 Wiis one with bbloader installed and I want to know where i can find pcbs and the tools I need for the build and how much it would come out to

u can buy custom boards from 4layertech -great store- and u could get parts printed from protolabs.

You're also gonna want a good soldering iron, you can buy the Hakko FX888D for $104 USD on Amazon.

Don't forget to pick up some 22-26 gauge stranded wire and 34-38 gauge magnet wire.

The boards from 4layertech.com aren't the same ones that the Louii is designed to work with. GingerOfOz made an updated cad model for the new boards iirc, but he hasn't released them yet.
