For some reason, the Ashida I’m working on will sometimes not boot into rvloader(stuck on blue vga screen), or crash after a random amount of time. I noticed this happens whenever I have the charger plugged in or when I plug in the charger once in Rvloader. Another’s thing is that the power switch doesn’t turn the portable on after unplugging the charger until after a few extra toggles. Does it matter that I’m using magnet wire for the switch? Does anyone know what could be going on with the boots?

Using magnet wire for the power switch is fine, it's just a high/low signal. The rest I'm afraid I have no idea. This is the first time I've seen this particular issue

I confirmed continuity is good and even swapped the pd 3 with another one I had. I still have the same issues with the crashes once the charger is plugged in. Open to any suggestions.

I remember a while ago, people were having issues where, when they touched their charger to the USB-C port on the PD board in their G-Boy, the whole system would reset. Something about the grounding causing some kind of quick blip....

Regardless, your USB lines need to be twisted *much* tighter with a drill. The current wiring is definitely causing some level of issue.

I rewired everything, including using tighter USB wires. I also swapped the SD card, but the problems are still there. Do you think it has to do with the PMS Lite? I can try replacing that. I also saw some stuff online that some chargers have grounding issues so I gonna try a different charger.

Trying a few different USB-C chargers would be worthwhile if you have more on hand

Thanks for the responses. I used a different charger and it works fine.

Unfortunately more issues keep coming up. Now the sliders are stuck for some reason. Any methods to get it smoother?

I’ve tried cleaning it with ipa, and prevented flux from getting on it too.

edit: the triggers seem to be working fine now, but of course more issues have risen. For some reason, the d pad and left stick have the controls of the c stick. It’s weird cause it didn’t used to do this.
